Dorset Historic Churches Trust - Ride or Stride Route Pro-forma

Thank you for downloading this proforma and for your willingness to share your route with others. You should be able to fill in the rows by typing into each section and using the "tab" key to move between rows or to add a row. If you do not have any information about the churches visited, this can be added at a later date. Please e-mail me (anna-butler@hotmail.co.uk) if you are having any difficulty. Comments on this idea and the form would be very welcome. Once completed, please e-mail to me so that it can be uploaded to the website.

The Dorset Historic Church Trust Ride and Stride Event takes place annually
on the Second Saturday in September.

Name of Route Your choice - but an indication of the area it encompasses is a good start.

Start Include here an OS grid reference with the sheet number or postcode and whether or not this is a circular route. Are there any parking, toilet or other facilities?

Finish As above.

Distance This can be an approximate measurement, but it should be reasonably accurate. You could also include a descriptive word such as "undulating", includes some off-road, or other issues which may affect a cyclist's decision to take this route.

Approximate Duration
(not including time at each church)
This will be a range taking into account the fitness of the participants - do not include the length of time potentially spent at a church.

Number of Churches As this is specifically for the Ride and Stride event, this would be of interest. A minimum number of churches is not, however, a requirement of the event.
You can include your own comments about each church, but it is anticipated that a short piece of information from the DHCT website will be added.

The Route Please try to make this as comprehensive as possible including any hazards. Use standard road numbers and/or OS grid references. Note landmarks such as Corfe Castle, etc.
OS Map references, as well local cycle maps (East Dorset, Bournemouth, Poole, etc) - see below.
